VS Vasco Sassetti is the brand that distinguishes the entire production of quality wines from the Sassetti agricultural company. The four hectares with which Vasco began in 1900 have now expanded to 20, distributed between Montalcino and Castelnuovo dell'Abate, with additional vineyards in Montenero used for the production of highly refined IGT wines.
The modern cellar, built in 2004 with a stone façade, seamlessly integrates into the landscape thanks to its underground structure, playing a key role from vinification to bottling.
This blend of tradition and innovation, preserving Vasco Sassetti's passion, continues to produce world-renowned, excellent wines.

History

The story of our company begins in 1900

Vasco Sassetti began producing wines from 1900, starting with just four hectares of vineyards and a small cellar located in Castelnuovo dell’Abate. His strong passion and entrepreneurial spirit quickly led him to realize his dream.

The Vineyards

Outstanding vineyards in Montalcino and Montenero

With 20 hectares between Montalcino and Castelnuovo dell'Abate, our Sangiovese yields the renowned Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. From our Montenero d'Orcia vineyards, better suited for different grape varieties, come refined IGT wines: Ginepro and Tuscan White.

The Cellar

With a stone façade, seamlessly integrates into the landscape thanks to the underground structure

The current cellar, built in 2004, is located approximately one kilometer from Castelnuovo dell’Abate. The facility is used for receiving and selecting grapes, vinification, aging, bottling, and shipping the finished product, with its stone façade harmonizing with the landscape due to the underground structure.
